Bob Watson, Managing Partner
Bob Watson has been CEO of four companies and has more than 25 years experience in strategy development and execution, corporate funding, business model transitions, and mergers & acquisitions. His early career included management positions at Procter & Gamble in New York and J. Walter Thompson Advertising Agency in Chicago, followed by fifteen years of diverse, small-company CEO experience, including two start ups and two turnarounds. He was the turnaround CEO at Xedex Corporation in New York (one of the original personal computer software distributors), the turnaround CEO at The Butler Group (a Louisville-based metal fixture manufacturer), and the founding CEO of Allison Marine (a Florida-based manufacturer of off-shore fishing boats).
Mr. Watson co-founded WatsonStrategic in 1983 and served as its Managing Partner for six years. He returned in 1996 for two years, and then spent three years as Chief Strategy Officer for CLB Associates, a leading Silicon Valley strategic advisory and investment-banking firm. He returned to WatsonStrategic again at the beginning of 2002. He has decades of experience in developing and executing complex strategic maneuvers as both CEO and Consultant, along with substantial operational expertise in management, marketing, sales, manufacturing and distribution.
Mr. Watson has a Bachelor's Degree in English from Columbia University in New York City, where he played football and earned All Ivy Honorable Mention. He is also a horse, music and boat enthusiast.
